How to Set Up a Linux Cloud Server

Linux Ubuntu server setup tutorial getting started

Deploying a Linux server on Go2Cloud is quick and simple:

1. Log in to the Go2Cloud control panel.
2. Click "Add New Server" to open the creation dialog.
3. Select your resource allocation for CPU, memory, and disk space. Linux servers can run efficiently with as little as 512 MB of RAM.
4. Choose your preferred Linux distribution from our image library. Options include Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, and more.
5. Set a VNC password for initial console access.
6. Click "Create" to deploy.

Your server will be up and running within moments. Use the VNC console to complete the initial configuration, set up your root password, and configure networking. Once your network is active, connect via SSH for efficient command-line management.

For most Linux distributions, the default SSH port is 22. Make sure to configure a firewall and strong authentication before exposing your server to the internet.
