Built by South Africans, for South Africans

Go2Cloud was founded in 2011 with a simple belief: South African businesses deserve world-class cloud infrastructure without the latency, currency risk, or complexity of international providers.

Tired of suffering the same problems ourselves

Our three founders were running businesses that depended on cloud infrastructure. Like every South African company at the time, they used international providers - and they dealt with the same frustrations every day: high latency, unpredictable forex costs, and support teams that had never heard of load shedding.

Following South Africa's moment in the global spotlight during the 2010 FIFA World Cup, they saw an opportunity. The country was ready for a homegrown, world-class cloud platform.

So in 2011, they built one.

“Our three founders, tired of suffering the latency challenges themselves, believed that offering a truly scalable cloud service from inside South Africa was the only way to provide a world class experience for local companies.”
