What Is a Private VLAN?

networking VLAN private network security

A private VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) allows you to create an isolated network connection between your Go2Cloud servers. This is useful for:

Database connections: Keep database traffic off the public internet for better security and performance.

File sharing: Transfer files between servers at full speed without bandwidth charges.

Application clustering: Connect multiple servers in a private network for distributed applications and load balancing.

Traffic between servers on the same VLAN is completely free and does not count towards your data transfer allowance. This makes VLANs an economical choice for any architecture that involves communication between multiple servers.
