The drive copy function creates an exact duplicate of an existing drive, giving you a point-in-time snapshot of your data.
To copy a drive:
1. Power off the server that the drive is attached to. This ensures data consistency.
2. Navigate to the drive in the control panel.
3. Select the copy or duplicate option.
4. Wait for the copy to complete. The time required depends on the drive size.
The resulting copy is an independent drive that you can attach to another server or keep as a backup. It contains an exact replica of all data from the original drive at the time the copy was made.
This is a useful manual backup method, but it requires downtime since the server must be powered off during the copy process.
